Dermal fillers are injectable treatments that restore lost volume, smooth out wrinkles, and enhance facial contours—all without surgery. As we age, we naturally lose collagen and fat in the face, which can lead to hollowed cheeks, deeper smile lines, thinning lips, and a less youthful appearance.

At Parker Dental Studio, our doctors have an intimate understanding of facial anatomy—after all, dentists have extensive training in the structures of the mouth and face. This background supports our ability to deliver filler treatments that look natural and complement your smile. We use FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers for safe, beautiful, reversible results.

How It Works

1

Consultation

We discuss your goals, examine your facial structure, and create a customized treatment plan focused on natural-looking enhancement.

2

Preparation

The treatment areas are cleaned and a topical numbing cream is applied for comfort. Most fillers also contain lidocaine for additional numbing.

3

Injection

The filler is precisely injected using fine needles or cannulas. The entire process takes just 15 to 30 minutes.

4

Immediate Results

Results are visible right away with final results settling in over 1-2 weeks. No downtime — most patients return to normal activities immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas can be treated with dermal fillers?

Common treatment areas include: nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines (lines from the corners of the mouth to the chin), lips (volume and definition), cheeks (volume restoration), under-eye hollows, chin and jawline definition, and perioral lines (fine lines around the mouth). We’ll recommend the best approach based on your specific goals.

Are dermal fillers safe?

Yes. The hyaluronic acid fillers we use are FDA-approved and have an excellent safety record. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in your body, so allergic reactions are uncommon. As with any injectable treatment, there are potential risks including bruising and swelling, which are typically temporary. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if needed, though reversal has its own considerations that we discuss during consultation.

Do fillers hurt?

Most patients describe the sensation as a mild pinch or pressure. We apply topical numbing before treatment, and the fillers themselves contain lidocaine (a numbing agent) for added comfort. The entire procedure is quick, and any discomfort is brief and very manageable.

How long do results last?

Results typically last 6 to 18 months depending on the type of filler used, the area treated, and your individual metabolism. Lip fillers tend to last 6 to 12 months, while cheek and jawline fillers can last 12 to 18 months. Touch-up treatments can maintain your results over time.

Why get fillers from a dentist?

Dentists have extensive training in the anatomy of the face, mouth, and jaw. We routinely administer injections and understand the precise location of nerves, blood vessels, and muscles in the facial area. This expertise translates directly to safer, more accurate filler placement and more natural-looking results.

Is there any downtime?

There is essentially no downtime. You can return to normal activities immediately after treatment. Some patients experience mild redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites, which typically resolves within a few days. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, and blood-thinning medications for 24 hours before and after treatment to minimize bruising.

How much do dermal fillers cost?

Pricing depends on the type of filler and the amount used. Treatments typically start at $500 per syringe. Most patients need 1 to 3 syringes depending on the treatment area and desired results. We provide transparent pricing during your consultation so there are no surprises. Dermal fillers are a cosmetic service and are not covered by insurance.
